Air Quality Toolkit Plugin

About This Project
Air-Quality-Toolkit is a Claude Code plugin that gives an AI coding assistant access to air quality data and analysis utilities. It supports current air quality lookups by city name, address, or latitude and longitude, and retrieves historical pollutant data over a specified date range. A configure skill stores the user's preferred data source and API keys, and a retrieve step tries the favourite source first before falling back to WAQI, OpenAQ, and AireLibre in sequence. The plugin also calculates US EPA Air Quality Index values and categories from raw concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, O3, NO2, SO2, and CO.
The modelling skill draws on the openair R package and an existing air quality prediction model, offering time-variation plots, polar plots, and simple machine learning forecasts. Configuration and cached data are stored in a user data directory outside the plugin install location, with API keys kept in a local config file. The plugin is installed through the Claude plugin manager and is released under the MIT licence.
The toolkit may be of interest to developers building environmental monitoring tools, researchers who want to query and analyse pollutant records within an AI-assisted workflow, and analysts who need quick AQI conversions or exploratory plots without writing custom scripts.
