Claude Data Visualisation And Publishing Plugin
Claude skills for data visualisation using common libraries
About This Project
This project is a Claude Code plugin that guides the creation of static and interactive data visualisations for reports, repositories, and data storytelling. Rather than defaulting to whichever visualisation library a language model happens to recall, it selects tools from a maintained inventory of open-source options, including Matplotlib, Bokeh, Chart.js, ECharts, D3, visx, Vizzu, Plotly Dash, Lightweight Charts, fl_chart, and others. Tool selection is matched to presentation purpose, data shape, runtime, and audience.
The plugin is organised into four skills: tool-inventory, which catalogues preferred libraries by use case such as scientific, web, app, animated, Python, and geospatial; choose-tool, which applies a decision protocol mapping purpose, data shape, and runtime to an inventory entry; setup-environment, which scaffolds a reproducible Python, web, Flutter, or desktop project with a working example chart; and data-storytelling, which covers headline-first chart design, annotation, animated transitions, and interactive elements. Three slash commands expose these capabilities: /dataviz-pick, /dataviz-setup, and /dataviz-story. The design follows four stated principles: pick from the inventory first, match the medium, distinguish persuasive storytelling from exploratory dashboards, and keep dependencies pinned and data, code, and output separated.
The plugin may be useful to developers and analysts who build visualisations with Claude Code and want consistent, justified tool choices across static figures, web embeds, dashboards, and geospatial work. It is installed through the Claude plugin marketplace and released under the MIT licence.
