Multisession

Asynchronous agent-to-agent messages between Claude Code sessions in different repos: a markdown mailbox in each repo's a2a/ folder, a SessionStart hook, reminders and living messages. No server. Fourth iteration (ex Agent-Junction, Agent-Relay, Claude-Breakout).

About This Project

Multisession enables asynchronous, serverless communication between Claude Code agents by utilizing a repository-specific 'a2a/' folder as a markdown-based mailbox. Instead of relying on a central server or broker, the system uses file-based handovers to pass goals, state, and context between agents. This approach allows agents to schedule tasks, set reminders, and perform cross-repository handovers without requiring simultaneous session activity.

Built with TypeScript, the project provides a suite of skills including session spawning, handover management, and message handling. It is designed for developers managing complex, multi-repository workflows where agents must share information, coordinate long-running tasks, or delegate work to specialized agents in separate environments. By integrating with Claude Code’s hook system, it ensures that agents are notified of pending messages upon session startup, providing a robust pattern for distributed agent-to-agent collaboration.
